Ready Set Camp!

Before you know it, school will be ending and summer beginning. It’s never too early to start your summer camp planning for children ages 3-15. This year staff is building on our successful 2020 and 2021 camps and bringing back some “old” camp favorites – You are My Sunshine, Barrel of Monkeys, Playtime Pals, Sun Troopers, Fun Quest, Camp Wilderness, Camp Funview, Kidz Zone and Counselor in Training. This means you’ll have more camp options to choose from!

2022 camps will be held at these locations:

Park Fieldhouses • Historic Wagner Farm • Glenview Tennis Club • The Grove
Park Center • Glenview Community Ice Center • Glenview Park Golf Club • Glenview Prairie Club
Glenview Youth Services • Glenview Public Library • Glenbrook South High School

We will continue to follow all COVID-19 guidelines and mandates in place when camps start on June 6. New! We’re bringing back field trips, swimming lessons and open swim for some camps. We’re also offering parents flexibility with camps that allow you to choose the weeks you wish your camper to attend. We’re excited to provide a fun and safe environment for campers, parents and staff in summer 2022!

Camps will fill up fast so don’t wait to sign up. Plus, now through March 15, save 10% with our early bird camp discount.

We understand that some parents need an option for additional care before camp begins and after camp ends. Our staff came up with a solution! Campers enrolled in Summer Explorers and Summer Explorers can enroll in our Before or After Care programs. Before camps start from 7:30-9 a.m., and once the camp ends at 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., campers participate in light recreational activities. A small snack will be provided or campers can bring their own nut safe snack.

Payment Information

You may pay in full or you may elect to participate in a Payment Plan option if registered by March 15. Deposits and balances due must be paid by credit card using Visa/MasterCard or Discover Card. Cash and checks will not be accepted. Electing the Payment Plan option by March 15 automatically enrolls payer into a monthly payment plan. Payments are equally distributed and charged to the designated credit card the 1st of every month beginning April 1. Payment in full is due for all registrations received on or after March 16. All camps with fees at or above $200 are eligible for payment plans with a deposit.

How the payment plan works:

Calculating your installments – Each payment plan option requires a $75 deposit. This deposit is subtracted from the total camp fee and the remaining balance will be broken into three equal installment payments.

Automatic Charges – Three installment payments will be automatically charged to your credit card on the first of each month beginning on April 2.

Payment Plan Deadline – March 15 is the last day to register with a deposit and take advantage of the payment plan program. Payment is due in full for all registrations received on or after March 16. There are no additional fees for participating in the payment plan.

What forms of payment are accepted?

Only credit card and debit card payments will be accepted at this time. The park district accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card and debit cards on which a MasterCard or Visa logo appears.

Waiting List Policies

If the camp you have selected is full, your payment will be processed and you will be put on the waiting list for that section.

Participants may only be added to a wait list section if they have not been accepted into another section of that same camp. Once the participant has been accommodated into a section of the program, they may not maintain a waiting list spot on any other section for that same program.

To be added to a waiting list, you must complete a program registration form or online registration and pay the program fee for that camp. You may not be added to a waiting list by phone call or handwritten note. Your position on the waiting list is based upon when your registration with payment is processed by the district.

If there are no openings after the first two weeks of the program, your payment will be refunded in full.

There is a 10% cancellation charge per program fee per child for camps up to a maximum of $75 per program per child until May 5. Beginning May 6, a 20% cancellation charge per program fee per child for camps up to a maximum of $200 per program per child. Refunds will only be made in full week increments. The last two weeks of each session are non-refundable. Refunds need to be requested at least 7 days before the start of the refunded week. Please email registration@glenivewparks.org.

Campers required to miss four or more days due to illness/medical issues or as required by the Park District will be refunded for days missed.  A doctor’s note is required in order to process a refund.  Refunds will not be issued if campers are absent three days or fewer due to illness.

Does the Glenview Park District prorate camp fees?

Camp fees will be prorated in whole weeks only. For example, a camper who starts camp on any day other than a Monday, must pay for the entire week in which they start camp. Registration with a prorated fee will only be accepted within one week of the time the camper starts.

Are you covered?

The park district does not carry medical or accident insurance for program participants.

For the 2022 summer camps, the district will not be accommodating friendship requests.
