Our COVID Safety Protocols
- Face coverings are required at all times for all skaters, spectators and staff, both on and off the ice. For hockey, full face bubble shields meet this requirement.

We’re very excited to welcome you back to Glenview’s brand-new home for ice sports. Our Ice Center is a year-round destination for recreation, instruction, competition and fun. We can’t wait for you to see our new facility featuring two NHL size rinks, a studio rink, eleven team rooms, dryland training area, pro shop and much more.
Be one of the first to skate on our brand-new sheets of ice. It’s a great opportunity for you to try a fun, new activity or for your children to learn how to skate and enroll in our Fall figure skating and hockey programs.
Note: Glenview Community Ice Center staff is operating with a number of provisions to protect the safety of our customers, employees and our community. Ice programming can be held while maintaining safe physical distance among individuals and it provides an opportunity to exercise, practice skills, and promote mental well-being. We are committed to safety and have a plan in place to operate with as little contact as possible while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, specifically the All Sports Policy (ASP), effective as of August 15.

Whether your goal is to exercise, learn a new skill or discover the exciting world of competitive figure skating, we have the program for you!The new Glenview Skating Academy is a Learn to Skate USA program and follows the curriculum as outlined by United States Figure Skating. We teach skating to all ages and abilities from the first steps on the ice to advanced figure skating jumps, spins and balance moves.
From the first time your child puts on a pair of skates and steps on the ice to actually playing on a team in a league, we will coach them every stride of the way. Our hockey instructors don’t just teach the skills needed to play the game of hockey, they are also committed to teaching.

GPD Skating Academy

Skating provides an opportunity to exercise, practice skills and promote mental well-being. We’re committed to safety and have plans in place to operate with minimal contact while adhering to the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, specifically the All Sports Policy.
All public skating sessions must be reserved online in advance. Walk up registrations are not allowed. Capacity on the ice is limited to 45 skaters for each public skating session. Click here to reserve your spot today! Fees are $7 per resident/$8.75 per nonresident. Ice skates can be rented for an additional $4. Children 5 and under skate free with a paying adult.

With proper pre-registration and safety protocols, we are excited for the community to experience the renovated facility and get back on our ice! With 2 NHL Rinks and 1 Studio Rink, we have been able to improve all aspects of our programming and skating schedules, thinking about all disciplines and levels of skating.
