Free Summer Concerts are Back!

Warm weather and the Bridge to Phase 5 of Covid-19 restrictions bring good news for concert lovers. Dust off your folding chairs and lawn blankets for some free and fun live performances! Thanks to the generous sponsorship of $10,000 from the Kiwanis Club of Glenview-Northbrook, you won’t have to wait any longer to get a taste of local live music.

Attendance will be limited to 150 residents for the first two concerts based on Bridge Phase guidance. Residents can register for free on the Glenview Park District website or  call (847)-724-5670 to reserve a spot. The first of nine concerts take place Wednesday, June 9 at the Jackman Park Gazebo, 1930 Prairie Street. If Illinois and Cook County move to Phase 5, Glenview Park District staff will re-evaluate capacity limits and reservations for future concerts based on updated guidance.

“We’re really excited to welcome back Chicago’s live music again this summer,” said Manager of Recreation Programs, Ann Marie Shipstad, “with two Little Bearfoot Concerts and seven Jackman Park shows, all families will be able to find a concert to enjoy!”
