Through cooperative efforts with other governmental bodies and community organizations, the Glenview Park District has been able to successfully grow to meet the needs of the community since its formation in 1927.

The Glenview Park District Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to approve the completed report titled Charting Our Future: A 10-Year Plan for the Glenview Park District.
The Glenview Park District is primarily funded through property taxes and user fees. Only about half of the District’s operating revenue comes from residential property taxes.
The Glenview Park District is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners. These dedicated individuals come from a variety of backgrounds, serve without compensation and are directly responsible to the electorate.

A 29-member Citizen Task Force made up of community leaders and business owners were tasked with presenting a recommendation to the park district board of commissioners.
